I am on my honeymoon and this restaurant was one of the coolest things we did! He took me for dinner where we shared the winey clams (didn’t have a picture) but the where so good and clean there was no sand in them. I had a Bahama mama and he had a screwdriver for dinner I had the fried flounder sandwich and he had the grouper tacos. The sandwich was so filling. Then we hopped on the boat to watch the beginning of the sun set. All and all it was an absolutely incredible experience the evening was wonderful and our captain of the ship was fantastic!!! He was so personable and friendly I believe his name was Casey and he was just fabulous!
My favorite meal of the weekend. You can’t beat a bayside view! The waitress (Kerri) was very friendly and the drinks and food were delicious.
We visited on a Monday evening late at night with a party of 4 and our 2 dogs. We had left a different "dog friendly" place because they were not at all dog. friendly. The reception at the Angler was awesome and extremely accommodating. Our server Sarah couldn't do enough for us. One of the owners stopped by our table to make sure we were good. Folks, if you want a truly "dog friendly" atmosphere and wonderful food and fantastic views, go to the Angler.
It was our first time here overall we had a good experience. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess it was about 4 pm on a Monday. The atmosphere was inviting, and the decor was cute. The food was delicious and reasonably price. Our only complaint was that the waitress was very nice but didn't check to see if we needed refills on our drinks and we had to look for her to get the check. Regardless with that said our meals were so good that we would go back again
We went here not knowing what to expect. First we got a small appetizer which was the grouper fingers and all 4 of us decided on the same thing, the Hangover Smash Burger, which comes with fries. All of the food was amazing. Service was very quick and very friendly. The Bahama Mama drink was also delicious. We spent a little more than we expected but it was 100% worth it
What a fantastic restaurant with great views! First off, this is a bigggg restaurant and bar. Has a huge dining area (inside and out) as well as a massive bar area. I did call and reserve a table and would recommend doing so. The atmosphere was great and had a very laid back vibe to it. The food was good. We got the grouper bites and I wish they were a touch crispier but they did taste fresh. The grouper tacos were amazing and so was the Vodka Rigatoni. Overall a solid setting for dinner. Definitely recommend this place.
Myself and friends have been coming here for 15+ years. It started when we went jet ski’ing and grabbed a drink after we returned. It was happy hour and we popped in as it’s right there beside the rental place. The happy hour pricing was great! Our favorites are Grouper bites. Oysters. Shrimp. And 2 for 1 drinks! We have also ate breakfast and dinner here. Everything has been delicious! We have formed life long friendships with several of the staff (Brandy, Abby, and many others with familiar faces) and always look forward to frequent visits! Yesterday we met a very enthusiastic new bartender (Patrick) and his drinks were on point! Delicious! See you soon Angler!!
Bar staff is amazing! Even at a VERY busy happy hour, they took care of everyone. Special shout out to Corey for taking such great care of us( and NOT because that our son’s name and they were born the same year!). Entire staff, drinks, and happy hour were wonderful.. not sure how they do it, but they do a damn fine job!! Probably won’t make it back.. until tomorrow!!
Very welcoming restaurant ! My server Sarah was a literal Angel and she was very attentive. The food was phenomenal compared to the other places I had over the weekend hands down come and give anglers a try you will not be disappointed 😮💨
It’s rare I have such an unexpected delightful, (outside of the norm) dining experience- but I did tonight, here. I had the seafood linguini, oysters, IPA’s, and watched the sun slowly going down. Sara, was great as my server- attentive and helpful, not hovering at all. I observed her and other staff, to see how they seemed bc I was pretty impressed by everything here (ambiance food vibe etc) and everyone seems happy, working here. I can tell when ppl are faking it (I like to think at least) also, and staff seemed chill. It was such a nice experience. I then saw a memorial picture of a bartender that apparently worked here for many heard and died recently- suddenly - in May. I was both touched, that they had a picture and a nice remembrance to her, and grateful, because it was obvious she was great and very important to ppl here/ what a great employer, to honor her. And to honor employees’ grief. So, I asked about her. I heard all about her and how wonderful she was, how much she is deeply missed. And it just touched me. I already loved this place… this, put it over the edge of the place I’d highly recommend visiting, the human / personal touch, beyond just a restaurant on the water. This feels like a great place. And the place I loved.. visited right before? (Oldest bar in Ocean City, hole in the wall) they highly recommended it when they heard I was looking for good food, view, and a chill place. I am so glad they did. If it’s between here and other dinner places along the water/ hope this review helps. Enjoy! 5 plus stars.
